Our BSc (Hons) Business Computing degree will equip you with the skills and knowledge to succeed in this fast-paced industry, with guest lecturers from a variety of business organisations sharing their expertise with you.
You will also develop the broad skills that employers look for in IT professionals, from leadership and teamwork to project management and problem-solving. The degree offers a solid foundation of knowledge in areas like programming and development of software, web design, databases, and information systems, in addition to the ability to specialize in the areas of marketing, data analytics, or advanced computer science.
The course will provide you with a solid understanding of Windows and its application software, which includes Word 2002 for Windows word processing, spreadsheets databases, database management systems, presentation graphic software, and Internet. It will also educate you about computer security and e-commerce.
Most of the time, lectures and seminars are used to instruct, with a number of modules incorporating laboratory-based computer exercises. You’ll also be expected to do independent research and study, both at home and at the university.
